WHAT YOU'LL LEARN

Members of our Circus School ages 5-18 have access to leveled training opportunities (beginner-advanced) in the following Circus Arts disciplines: Aerial Arts, Acrobatics, Equilibristics, Juggling & Clowning. 

AERIAL ARTS

THE ART OF DEFYING GRAVITY.

Aerial Artists perform acrobatics on aerial apparatuses. Apparatuses include: Silks, Trapeze, Lyra, Spanish Web, Hammock, Cloud Swing, and Corde lisse.

ACROBATICS

THE ART OF TUMBLING AND STANDING ON YOUR HANDS.

Similar to gymnastics, but non-competitive and artistically focused. Includes handstands, acro-balancing, tumbling, trampoline, human pyramids, and hand-to-hand partnering.

EQUILIBRISTICS

THE ART OF BALANCING.

Skills include: Wire-walking, Rolling Globe, Rola Bola, Stilt-walking, Unicycling, and Chair Balancing.

JUGGLING

THE ART OF MANIPULATING MORE OBJECTS THAN YOU HAVE HANDS FOR.

Includes balls, rings, scarves, clubs, spinning plates, diablo, spinning carpets, and foot juggling.

CLOWNING

THE ART OF MAKING PEOPLE LAUGH.

Clowning encompasses acting, physical comedy, stage presence, scripted routines, improve, and voice training.

PERFORMANCE

THE ART OF SHARING WITH AN AUDIENCE.

Circus is meant to be performed! All members of our circus are offered performance opportunities ranging from informal recitals to formal productions.

NEW CIRCUS ARTISTS

All new artists are oriented with an exciting session in General Circus Arts. The curriculum is designed to build fundamental skills in all the circus arts disciplines: Aerial Arts, Acrobatics, Equilibristics, Juggling, and Clowning. 

CIRCUS ARTISTS WITH EXPERIENCE

Upon completing a session of General Circus Arts, our artists advance into more specialized training areas. Based on interests and skill level they delve into deeper study in any or all of the circus disciplines.

ADVANCED & PRO-TRACK ARTISTS

Advanced artists and artists interested in pursuing a professional career in the Circus Arts are invited to audition for our Pro-Track program. This intensive program is directed and taught by top circus artists in the field. For serious students only.

CIRCUS ARTISTS WITH EXPERIENCE (LEVEL 2)

LEVEL 2 Students must be pre-qualified by instructors. Levels are not determined by attendance alone. Core competencies must be met, which include proper form, technique, and solid achievement of level 1 skills. Level 2 students must train 2hrs / week at minimum. The two hour class will include conditioning, flexibility and technique training in addition to aerial skills.

Our Advanced / Pro-Track Program is for serious students looking for advanced recreational and/or pre-professional training. This highly customized program is modeled after Cirque du Soleil and National Circus School audition requirements.

Particpants must attend every Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday from 6-8pm.
